Palliative / Preventative Foot Care (Care of Nails, Corns and Calluses)Insurance companies, including Medicare, do not cover routine foot care (the trimming of nails, corns and calluses) unless a “high-risk foot” diagnosis can be made.
Our office does provide these services. However, if Medicare requirements are not met, we cannot bill your insurance carrier. In this case, payment is expected at the time routine foot care services are provided.
Our office is a Medicare certified Durable Medical Equipment provider for therapeutic shoes for those patients who qualify for this benefit. |
