Our staff at Adirondack Tri-State Podiatry is dedicated, talented and well-trained. We love Podiatry, and will do everything we can to help you feel comfortable and informed.

Dr. Donela:

Dr. Richard Donela

Doctor Donela has been a pilot for most of his life. He is pictured here with his plane, The Adirondack Express, which he built. He frequently commutes by air between offices, weather permitting. One of his most memorable trips was flying across country, over the Rockies, when his granddaughter was born.

	Valene Val graduated Valedictorian from Southern Vermont College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration Management. A year later in 2008, she joined the Staff of Adirondack Tri-State Podiatry. While Val takes part in the many aspects of the practiceís daily demands, she particularly enjoys the behind the scenes business tasks that put her education to work. No matter which of our office phone numbers you call, it is more than likely that you will reach Val. In Fall 2010, Val married her long time best friend, under the beautiful foliage of a New England autumn. In her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking, walking and other activities with her husband and stepson. Whenever possible she enjoys getting together with the extended family for a weekend barbecue. "I enjoy coming to the office every morning because I look forward to helping people feel better."

	Elise Elise joined the staff of Adirondack Tri-State Podiatry in 2006. With her LNA experience she was hired as a Medical Assistant, becoming certified in Podiatric Radiology. Elise quickly became interested in the business end of the practice. She learned coding, billing procedures, both electronic and paper, and managing accounts receivable. As her career advanced, she became the Office Coordinator, overseeing four offices. In 2008 Elise decided to move to Florida to be closer to her family and to continue her education. The wonders of technology allowed Elise to continue to work for Dr. Donela part time while attending school. Currently, Elise is working for a large medical billing company in Venice FL. She continues to work remotely as the Offsite Office Coordinator, logging onto office computers daily and running monthly office meetings remotely. The staff jokingly compares her to Charlie from the old TV show "Charlie’s Angels". Last November Elise attended a Podiatry Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, reuniting with Dr. Donela and Barbara. She plans to join them again for this year's meeting as well. "Being a part of Dr. Donela's staff is a joy, and I look forward to going to work each day and supporting him."

	Barbara Barbara, a Registered Nurse, has been the Office Nurse at Adirondack Tri-State Podiatry for many years. She is primarily responsible for Patient Education, surgical scheduling and coordination, and assisting with office procedures. Prior to joining the practice, she was an Obstetrical Nurse, Instructor at Putnam Memorial School of Nursing, and a Childbirth Educator. She is Mom to Nathaniel and Eliza, and Gramma to Dylan and Kate. "It is very rewarding to be able to help our patients to be more active and healthy. On a daily basis, I like to feel that we have made a difference."
